film school in a jar
I just watched a documentary called Fog City Mavericks that’s been sitting on my Tivo for months. It occurred to me about 20 minutes in that my History of Cinema teacher could have saved us all a lot of trouble and just showed this movie on the first day of class* and then let us spend the rest of the semester making paper airplanes.
Film school was an amazing experience, and would have been a lot better if I could have found a way to skip or sleep through the other 30% of my classes…
*Not literally, of course, since it would not be made for another 14 years, but you know what I mean, right?
